Meet Our 2025-2026 E-Board!
Kayla Kupietzky is a sophomore at Barnard College, Columbia University where she is studying English Literature. This past summer she did cellular and developmental biology research at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine and also worked as a CNA (certified nurse’s assistant) and EMT (emergency medical technician). In addition to her e-board role in AMSA, Kayla is a staff illustrator for the Columbia University Undergraduate Medical Review and also does pediatric endocrinology research at Mount Sinai. When she’s not studying for class, she loves to spend time with friends and family, go to SoulCycle classes, and try new cafes throughout NYC.
Greg Ronel is Sophomore at Columbia College, studying Biology. He is from New York, and in his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, sailing, and hiking in nature!
Enkang is a senior at Columbia College studying biochemistry. In addition to pre-medicine classes, he is involved with ophthalmology research at the Irving Medical Campus and volunteering with Alice! Health Promotions, and at NYU Tisch Hospital. Outside of all his classes, he likes to spend time with friends, exploring the city's cafes and restaurants with my film camera to get a respite from the campus noise.
Emily Phillips is a senior in Columbia College (‘26) majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. This past summer she got certified as a CCMA, and has been researching perinatal risk and resilience for the last year with the Lugo Lab of the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Emily's campus involvements include the CU Pep Band, where she serves as President, and Global Health Equity and Medicine (GHEM). She also a TA in the psychology department. In her free time, Emily likes to play pickleball or cozy up with her Kindle for a good read!
Ella is a senior at Barnard College studying Cellular and Molecular Biology. This past summer she did cell research on prostate cancer at Mount Sinai. Originally from Midcoast Maine, she is also part of Gyneca and is hoping to enter women’s medicine. She has worked as a medical assistant at Camden Dermatology and MOHS Surgery Involved in many extracurricular activities throughout the year, Ella is an Advising Fellow with Matriculate and co-President of Columbia’s chapter of AMSA. Outside of academics, she takes piano lessons and is a proud member of Orchesis. She is super excited for this year of AMSA!
Charlotte is a senior in CC here at Columbia and a Biology major on the pre-medical track. Outside of AMSA, she is a member of the softball team and also holds officer positions in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Student Athlete Pre-health Society. Charlotte has been involved in medicine since she was 14 and is hoping to one day become a surgeon!
Charlie is a junior in CC studying biochemistry and he is serving as the secretary for AMSA. In his free time, he loves to cook with friends, crochet, walk by the riverside, and hang out with his AMSA besties. In terms of science, Charlie love immunology and The Pitt.
Brynn Sanner is a junior at Columbia College (‘27), majoring in Biology. She works in a neuroscience lab studying circadian rhythms using flies. Brynn is the Outreach Committee Head for AMSA, and she also edits for Grey Matters, an undergraduate neuroscience publication. Brynn volunteer with some clubs on campus and her local hospital at home in New Jersey. In her free time, she likes to read and go climbing!
Andre is majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-medical track. He is from upstate New York. He is an avid artist that loves drawing and painting. Andre has been fascinated with the sciences for all his life and has developed a deep intrigue for all things chemistry. When not studying, he enjoys exercising as much as he can through running or lifting.
